Nursery group Kids Planet has acquired Choice Childcare, a group of five nurseries in the Northeast of England.

The five nurseries are located in Westerhope, Gosforth, Cramlington, Wallsend and Sunderland.

Clare Roberts, chief executive at Kids Planet said: “We are extremely excited about the acquisition of Choice Childcare which has an established presence in the Northeast early years sector. As with all our settings, our number one priority is to offer the highest quality of care and education. We look forward to building on the legacy of the founders by continuing to create environments in which children can develop and thrive”.

Choice Childcare former owner Ajeet Chadda added: “Running and growing Choice Childcare over the past decade or so has been a huge part of our lives, and it was never going to be an easy decision to hand over the reigns to anyone. However, from the moment we met the Kids Planet team, we knew they were the right people to take the business forward and to the next level. They were a pleasure to deal with from the outset and we wish them every success in establishing presence in the Northeast.”
