The firm deployed capital from Fondo Nextalia Private Equity, an investment vehicle with an €800 million final target, which held a first closing on €563 million in November 2021.

Based in Milan, Altaformazione provides corporate training and digital learning through immersive content, gamification, simulations, augmented reality and virtual reality. The company serves more than 150 corporations and organisations, providing training to over 2 million people.

Altaformazione will become part of Digit’ed, an aggregation platform launched by Nextalia in partnership with Italian bank Intesa Sanpaolo last February.

Digit’ed is 20% controlled by Intesa Sanpaolo, while the remainder is owned by Nextalia. The company will further expand with additional acquisitions, with the aim of becoming an Italian leader in the education and digital learning sector. It will primarily target ed tech and digital training businesses specialising in cybersecurity, data, cloud connectivity as well as sustainability and the circular economy.
