UK-based nursery operator All About Children has appointed Lincoln International to find a buyer, EducationInvestor Global can reveal.

The company has been marketed off an EBITDA of around £10-12 million and expects to reach a valuation in the 12-14x region, two sources close to the process told this publication. The sale is expected to attract both private equity firms and trade buyers, according to both sources.

The company had previously launched a sale in 2018, when it mandated KPMG to run the process. However, the process fell over in May 2019, as revealed by this publication, after suitors baulked at the £100 million asking price, which was based on EBITDA of £8.5 million. Subsequently, the company decided to resume the sale in November 2021, as reported by EIG.

Founded in 2010 by Russell Ford, All About Children manages 38 nurseries across the UK. The majority of the nurseries are located in or around London, while a handful are situated further up the country in Nottingham and Gloucester.
