Swiss private equity house Invision has acquired Austrian education provider EduPro from investment firm Luxempart.

Following the deal, EduPro’s management team will reinvest a portion of their proceeds and retain a minority holding in the company.

Luxempart, which had acquired a majority stake in EduPro in 2015, decided to sell the business at the beginning of this year, when it hired Macquarie to run the sale.

Headquartered in Vienna, EduPro provides further education and vocational training in Austria, Germany and Hungary. The group includes Ipcenter and Weidinger & Partner in Austria and Mikro Partner and bb Gesellschaft für Beruf und Bildung in Germany. With approximately 1,000 employees, the group serves more than 20,000 learners annually across over 85 locations.

Invision was advised by Skye Partners and Herbst Kinsky (legal), Deloitte (finance, commercial, tax & structuring), Cubus Partners (debt advisory) and Lindenpartners (financing), while the sellers were advised by Macquarie Capital.
